This unsigned ink drawing was reproduced on page 97 of Harlan Hubbard’s “Shantboat, A River Way of Life” which he published in 1977. This and other ink drawings used to illustrate his book remained with the artist until his death when bequeathed to Claude (Bill) Caddell. Thence to Bill’s widow Flo who offered this among 23 other Hubbard works on 2-17-2024 where I purchased it among several other Hubbard paintings. Caddell had received most of Hubbard’s art by bequest. Now housed by Caddell in a 17 3/4” x 27 3/4” professional frame.
