This unsigned scene likely painted circa 1925-1930 from a perspective Paul Sawyier chose a couple of decades earlier. An important composition by Plaschke that was apparently exhibited twice in his day. One partial exhibition label remains identifying the artist, the second label almost totally lost. Descended through the Plaschke family so apparently never sold though an attempt was possibly made at some juncture as evidenced by a casual masking tape price tag on the reverse of frame, or maybe the intent was an appraisal for estate distribution. Excellent original condition in the artist’s paint added frame.
