A similar axe head is illustrated on page 16, illustration #255 of Tomahawks Illustrated by Robert Kuck. The author attributes that head to Eastern Ohio. Our example likely dates within the first quarter of the 19th century, probably of Ohio or Great Lakes area origin. Very good original condition with rich undisturbed surface. Pole with some flattening likely due to light hammering. Lead inlay 99% intact. Plug is replaced.
