Evidently F.T. Smith of Chatham, Illinois owned Big Frank and commissioned Dousa to draw a pastel likeness of Big Frank at Lafayette, Indiana. The 19½” x 24″ oak frame may be the original. Now with acid free backing, clear spacers between image, and Museum quality UV filtering glass. Very good condition with a triangular tear (¼ x ¾”) above the treeline (to viewer’s right) which extends slightly into the color.
