This shanty boat wood cut is illustrated as figure 46 in Bill Caddell’s 1994 “The Woodcuts of Harlan Hubbard from the Collection of Bill Caddell” . Titled on the reverse “Shantyboat Summer”. Claude William Caddell by bequest inherited much of the art upon the death of Harlan Hubbard. At some point Caddell back stamped Hubbard’s unsigned woodcuts which is visible in reverse to viewer’s lower right. Other than the stamp in excellent as printed condition. Personally this medium is my favorite among the artist’s ranging disciplines. Now framed in a walnut oversized professional frame chosen by Caddell.
